Farfetch opens its new tech hub in Braga, Portugal

Farfetch opens the doors to a brand-new office in Braga, adding to its current list of Portuguese offices in Guimarães, Porto and Lisbon. This investment in a new tech hub is aligned with the Farfetch growth strategy and represents a bet in the dynamic and innovative capability of the youngest city in the country.

Farfetch has 13 offices around the world. In Portugal, Braga is the 4th city where we are present with yet another forward-thinking tech hub.

“This has become a core region for entrepreneurship and information technologies, and Braga is a natural incubator for talent where we believe it will be possible to attract different profiles, from young people starting their careers to the most experienced professionals,” says Cipriano Sousa, Chief Technology Officer. He goes on to say, “Braga’s hub will contribute to the growth of the team in Portugal, specifically in Tech, where the company already has over 800 employees.”

The new technology hub has the capacity to place 150 people, distributed over 3 floors with some fantastic characteristics, such as a deck designated to leisure activities, where Farfetchers can relax and even drive Go Karts. The leading global technology platform for the luxury fashion industry has open career opportunities for the new office, namely in Engineering and Product teams.

“This is a clear sign that we continue investing in Portugal, where we have many different teams that can work with colleagues based in different offices, in a global logic that is a part of our DNA, our mission and values,” says Cipriano Sousa.
