Browns was acquired in the 1970’s by Joan and Sidney Burstein from Sir William Piggot Brown and in 2015 by Farfetch. At a time when there were no luxury multi-brand boutiques in the UK, Browns changed the course of retail and fashion history, with a pioneering spirit, introducing many now-famous fashion brands to fashion lovers for the first time.
